Tickets are purchased to head to South Africa! Also, great news, David Ehler is going too! We are being Blessed by all this experience already. Everyone is praying and rallying around us. I know that the Lord has something BIG in store for us. Msgr. Joe James spent time with me yesterday and acknowledged that he felt a mushrooming of the spirit within all of this. Dr Larry Holley expressed a similar comment. The generosity of the people has been awesome. Please keep us in prayer. We are all partners in this together. I am getting a bit nervous as time approaches.

We keep planning for the trip! Last night Gail and I did a little shopping for some clothing to take with me. I like to travel with carry-on. I can usually live a week out of carry-on until cloths needs washing. I will be traveling in 2 segments. I can wash my cloths between the segments. Another thing I noticed that the temp in the areas that we are traveling are similar to here right now. It looks like 50-70 degrees. Tonight Gail and I are going to work on how we are going to raise the funds necessary to make this trip a success. We are also discussing what kind of vaccinations that I will need and where to get them. Some are pretty expensive.

SPONSORSHIPS & FUND RAISING: I have to raise some funds for the trip. The funds will be used for traveling and for helping the people that we visit. We have a very heavy two weeks of meetings and assisting different groups of people with various needs. Our goal is to help people with a humanitarian and evangelistic style of outreach. We will not have the ability to travel with supplies due to the expense involved. It is much more wise to acquire needed supplies while we are there. Outside financial assistance will be used wisely. I pray that God will bless us with the desired funds. My goal is to raise 5-7,000 for this trip. Anyone that would like to help could mail a check to Mark Meurer, PO Box 91, Slaton, Texas 79364. I will pray daily for each of you. God Bless You! In 2006 avg life in the USA was 78 years old in Zimbabwe it was 36 years old. This is one of the reasons they need our care, support and prayers.
LETTER OF GOOD STANDING: Today Most Rev. Placido Rodriguez, CMF, Bishop of the Diocese of Lubbock, Texas, USA wrote a letter of good standing and recommendation for my travels to represent the church in South Africa.
