March 5, 2009 UPDATE - Mark Meurer South Africa
We would like to give you an update on what is taking place with my trip to South Africa…
You generosity and prayers are desperately appreciated and needed. This trip is not something to take lightly. We hope to be your pathway and help to a struggling and dying group of people.
Departing & Returning: Leave Lubbock Friday March 13 around 11 AM
Returning Lubbock Friday March 27 around 6 PM
We fly Southwest from Lubbock to Dallas. Then we fly Delta from Lubbock to Atlanta to Johannesburg
David Ehler: What a Blessing! David will be joining us on this mission to South Africa. The Lord has something special planned for the both of us!
Website/Blog: We have a website you can go to that will keep you updated on my activities. http://www.markmeurer.blogspot.com/
Partnering: I am attempting to raise $5,000 outside of the airline ticket. A portion of the partner-funding will go directly to help refugee missions. This will be supplied in the forms of a medicine acquisition once I am I South Africa. This mission is a humanitarian mission trip. Some of the monies will be used for feeding refugees. There could be other immediate needs to support the mission we determine once we are in South Africa.
Here are some of the uses of the main part of the funding:
Lodging, Meals, Guest Meals, Evangelization Materials for refugees, Medical Supplies for refugees, Food Supplies for refugees, Car Rental, etc.
Note: Airline Ticket - Paid for by a generous donor.
Contributions: Several people have inquired if there was still time to help support this mission. The answer is YES! If you know of anyone that would like to partner with this mission, please have them make a check payable to Mark Meurer - South Africa. Mail the check to Mark Meurer, PO Box 91, Slaton, Texas 79364.
